Dear friend,
It's the 10th month of the year, which indicates we have at least 2 months until it's a brand new year. Whatever part of the world you are reading this from, one thing I'm certain about is that the weather has changed or is still changing. And if not, it will still change—at least before the year is over.
I know you're wondering why I'm referring to the weather, and I'll explain. The thing is, just as the Bible says there's a time for everything, it's true. There are things the weather in January permits you to do that you can't try in August or November. There are seeds you can sow in March that you can't sow in October.
The same applies to us as humans. Selah.
Now it's a common custom to look back and see what you've accomplished or what you've not yet achieved from your New Year resolutions. It's also expected that, usually, there's a tendency to want to give up and say, I'll try again next year. And that's a good thing, but I remember a tweet I saw a while back that says, "You don't have to wait till a round figure time to start reading. You can actually start reading at 12:37p.m". 😂 I'm laughing because I feel like if I don't start reading by a round figure time, I haven't started yet. But one key lesson I've learned this year (and that the Holy Spirit has brought to my mind severally) is that you can start now. And it's often best to start now.
I understand that you want to wait until a perfect time, but you should have figured by now that there's no such thing as a "perfect time".
In that light, here's a call to start again, to start afresh, to start. Don't wait till January 2024. You can start now, and you'll be surprised at how much you'll be able to achieve all because you chose to start.
As I bring this letter to a close, I just want to let you know that you can reach out to me if you have a prayer point or request, and I'll join you in your prayers. And in any way you'd need me to be of help to you, I'll do the best I can.
As always, remember that I'm rooting for you and I'm proud of you. Well done for holding on this long, you've come too far to give up or turn back.
For being a subscriber to this letter, there's a bonus for you. My friend (Khalifire) and I made a Spotify playlist with gospel songs across different genres that I'm sure you'd enjoy. (P.S.: The secret to enjoying the Playlist is to shuffle it.) Anyway I've spoken too much, here's the link:
Yours sincerely,
Oba Dáfídì.
Truer words are yet to be spoken📌
Start now! Thank you my one and only for the reminder🥹🫶🏼❤️
