Hey friend,
How are you doing and how has the month of November been for you so far?
Just yesterday while having my bath in preparation for Sunday Service, I was just having a personal moment of introspection (I'm not the only one who does this right? 😅) and I randomly remembered the people I've admired up until this time of my life. The problem is not that I admired them, but that I admired them too much that I wanted to be them forgetting that God didn't create me to be another person - I mean he's God and he could have just created me to be them right? (you're probably wondering if this is another cliche "you can't be anybody else but you" speech, but stay with me please 🤞🏾)
It took me time to realize that the time I spend trying to be like someone else is time wasted that I'll never get back and it's a very important principle that has helped me. Life became a lot less complicated. It helped me appreciate the work that people do and put in such that I'm not envious of them (and trust me envy is not healthy).
What I'm saying is, it's okay to have people you look up to, but don't spend time trying to be them. You can pick lessons from their lives and apply them to yours, you can pick principles and values that align with yours or are similar.
So till next time, Keep being awesome and remember that I'm always rooting for you. Have an amazing week ahead 😉
Yours sincerely
Oba Dafidi.
(by the way, I forgive y'all for snubbing me in the last email 😂)
Also, I have new music coming out on the 24th of this month, do let me know if you'd be interested in listening when it's out and I’ll send a link.
Thank you so much for the reminder. It is really important that we stay unique while looking up to other people.
Sorry for snubbing you sir😁😅
