Hello friend,
I trust you’re doing well and things are going fine with you. And if things are not, I speak the Peace of God over you and the circumstances that need peace in Jesus’ name. Amen
It’s barely three days until Christmas, and there is a mix of emotions in the atmosphere. Some people are excited (most especially children who can’t wait to wear their Christmas clothes), some are confused (maybe because they don’t see the need to celebrate Christmas or they don’t even believe in Jesus), some are depressed (the year probably didn’t go as planned), some are afraid (because the reading of their account balance doesn’t seem to bear any reason for celebration, and they probably have debts to settle). If you’re in Nigeria, you may have heard that cash is becoming scarce, so this is enough reason to make one afraid, and some are just there (I mean, no form of emotion whatsoever).
Well, there are many misconceptions about Christmas, and here’s a list of what Christmas is not about:
Christmas is not about Santa Claus, nor is it about elves or reindeer, etc.
It is not about cookies, chin-chin, cake, chicken, plenty of food, and drinks.
Christmas is not about Christmas trees and fancy decorations.
Now, while some of these aren’t bad in themselves, they are not the perfect depiction of Christmas. So then, what is Christmas about?
Simply put, Christmas is about Jesus. It is, in my opinion, the start of a beautiful love story. And as a songwriter says in a song I love, ‘Christmas is the beginning of redemption’. As cliche as it may sound, Christmas is about Jesus. Yes, Jesus is the reason for the season.
So, here’s me inviting you to carry the consciousness that Jesus is the reason for this season. Share the love of Christ with someone this season. Speak about Jesus. Don’t be ashamed of him. He wasn’t ashamed of you, and that’s why he didn’t mind being born in a manger to express his love for you.
Before I leave, here’s a little gift for you (wink, wink).

You’re Welcome. Always remember that I’m rooting for you, so keep being amazing.
Merry Christmas once again.
Compliments,
Oba Dafidi.
